Help us ensure that our Whittier neighbors are counted!
The response period for the 2020 Census is in full swing, and we know that many of our Whittier neighbors belong to communities that are historically under-counted and difficult to reach. Whittier residents are students, renters in secured, multi-family buildings; they are immigrants, refugees, and non-English speaking communities; they are unhoused or highly mobile community members, and everyone in between -- and each and every one of us counts!
Despite the Trump Administration's ultimately unsuccessful efforts to add a question about citizenship to this year's Census form, many of our community members still may not be informed about what the Census is used for and how important it is for the long-term health of our community for everyone to be counted before the October 31st deadline.
Below are a number of different resources you can use to communicate in a socially-distant way with your neighbors.
Will you help us get the word out?
