Whittier Alliance has partnered with Hennepin County to help businesses gain access to County grant funding to assist in diverting waste from trash streams and get into compliance with a new County ordinance requiring recycling and organics waste streams by January, 1st, 2020.
The Ordinance states that any public, nonprofit, and for profit businesses that generate one ton of Trash per week or contract for eight cubic yards or more per week of Collection Service for Trash as of January 1, 2020.
