Executive Director
Marian Biehn is the Executive Director at the Whittier Alliance.
Marian's responsibilities include overseeing the day to day operations
and development of the Alliance and the neighborhood including
strategic planning, annual budget, implementation of the Whittier NRP
Action Plan, personnel, and various Task Forces. As ED she supports the
Board of Directors, as well as the Resource Development, Finance,
Executive, Business Association and Community Issues committees. Her
work focuses on the advancement of the Whittier neighborhood in the
areas of improved livability, economic, business and housing
development. Marian has a BA from the College of St. Catherine, in St. Paul. Previous experience includes employment with the International Institute of Minnesota, joint ownership and management of a commercial art studio with her husband, and directorship of Business Programs at the Minneapolis Athletic Club. She has been an active member of the Whittier neighborhood for over 25 years as a rental property owner, neighborhood volunteer, Rental Property Owner Committee chair and a member of the Board of Directors.
Community Organizer
Jen has a BA in International Relations from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and is pursuing a certificate in Sustainable Community Development through the International Institute for Sustainable Development at Colorado State University. Jen brings with her to the position experience working in various capacities in the non-profit sector, generally with a focus on civic engagement and environmental sustainability.
