Rental Property Owners

Whittier is 90% rental property and creates a unique urban and pedestrian environment as many of our renters do not have cars. We want to ensure that all renters regardless if they are a student or a long-time resident, have quality livability and are safe and secure in their residence. Don't neglect your property! There are many programs out there to assist property owners in maintaining their rental units.

Businesses

Whittier has a wide array of businesses located in different commercial districts of the neighborhood. Most storefront buildings and railroad goods warehouses are from the streetcar era of 1880s-1920s. Whittier also has several auto-orientated walk-in malls, commercial buildings, and warehouses built throughout the 20th century. More recently mixed-use condominium projects at major intersections have brought in additional retail and restaurant space.
