Save the date: Wednesday, March 28th!
The Whittier Alliance will be holding the Whittier Neighborhood Annual Meeting on March 28. The meeting starts with a social hour from 5:30-6:30pm, featuring a resource fair where community members can learn about organizations in the neighborhood, find out how to get more involved, and sample food from Whittier businesses.
The meeting will start at 6:30pm. The community will elect five new Whittier Alliance board members. While votes are being tallied, the Good Neighbor and Business awards will honor outstanding contributors to the community. The meeting will also present an opportunity to review the events and achievement of 2017 in Whittier.
All attendees should sign in between 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
To vote, Whittier residents, businesses and property owners must provide proof of voter eligibility. Residents and property owners with proof of voting eligibility vote for the at-large board members at the Annual Meeting. Business owners will elect representatives to the board at the April Business Association Meeting.
Per the Whittier Alliance By-Laws, Article IV, Section 3, business and property owners must verify their membership and voting eligibility in advance and in-person at the Whittier Alliance office; residents may verify their voting eligibility at the meeting with a Whittier address on an ID or utility bill.
